The ANZAWR 2021: Inguinal hernia was another successful (virtual) collaboration between ANZ hernia and AWR surgeons which was held on Saturday the 29th May 2021. There was an excellent local and international line up of faculty. Registrations were slightly down from the 2020 meeting but feedback was again very positive.
It was a deep dive on all things groin. Highlights included technical tips for the myriad of approaches including lap, open, robotic and non-mesh. There was a very inspiring keynote lecture on how to be a better hernia surgeon by Todd Heniford.
The meeting reinforced the success of the ANZAWR collaboration and cemented its place as a regular fixture on the annual
meeting calendar.
